I received an email the other day. In it, a wise girl asked me if I had contracted “PBS.” I paused for a moment, unable to decipher the acronym. Fortunately, she explained it to me. Procrastinating Blogger Syndrome. PBS.

I’m glad my affliction now has a name, thanks to the crafty girl who emailed me. I think the acronym is very apt — you put off one blog and then the next, until you’ve forgotten your blogger password and have to have the forces that be email it to you. Which seems like so much trouble and so you put it off some more. And some more. Until your last blog was months ago and you have a completely different hairstyle and have adopted a new nickname and can’t even recognize the person who last blogged on your blog.

But I’ve resolved to shake PBS off with some good old fashioned regular blogging. It feels good. No more guilt for not blogging. I haven’t yet hit my stride, but I’m confident I will.

You’ll all be thrilled to know that I’m nearly finished with another book. It’s very different from Ruby Tuesday, but I think Ruby herself would like it if she read it. I can’t be sure, though.

Anyhow, thanks for the encouragement. I don’t want to make this too long. Baby steps, you know?
