Cupertino & Jordan Middle SchoolApril 7th, 2008Hey Folks, The school tour rages on. Well, maybe it’s not “raging.” More like steadily marching. I’ve hit two more schools since I last dropped by (does one drop by one’s own blog?), and I was pretty impressed by each. Cupertino gets the award for the nicest computers I’ve seen to date. They have some sweet new mac desktops in the library. A special thanks to Mrs. Gerhing for setting everything up. Though no one teleported, I swear we got close. This last Friday, I left Property class a few minutes early in order to make it to my first talk at Jordan Middle School. Jordan is pretty close by, so I didn’t have to speed or run any stop signs to get there (now that I’m a law student, I’m a little paranoid about such things). I did four appearances at Jordan (my most at one school to date) and I couldn’t have asked for a nicer group. I think the students even paid attention to my Kogler Kronicles story, which is saying something. Mrs. McQueen was gracious and even fed me since I was there during lunch (it’s the little things, you know?). Before I give you the running totals, I should say that I DO plan on spicing up the pictures some (I know you’re probably bored of seeing me pictured in front of schools — I know I am). I just have to figure out a way to mix it up. Maybe I’ll take pictures of the strangest part of each school I visit. If you’ve got any ideas, send them my way. Now for those totals . . . . Total Schools = 6 And on to the next! |
